When Shimano relaunched the Baitrunner series with the Shimano Baitrunner D Spinning Reels, they made significant improvements. By applying what they had learned about spinning reels over the past five years, they were able to improve the Baitrunner's castability, reduce wind knots and created a better overall fishing experience with braid. The drag was increased and the handles were given more comfortable grips.
